The culmination of many years of planning and construction, St. Edwards Community Center represents the realization of a complete campus for church-goers and the diocese. The church has a large following of parishioners, who prioritized limited resources for decades to create their campus. The expansion plan was inspired by historic Spanish missions dotting the length of California. Gabled roof forms are gathered about a central courtyard featuring a portal entry, a modern reinterpretation of mission plazas, and arched entryways. The campus began with a simple prefabricated metal building worship space and has been lovingly adorned throughout the years. For far too long, church-goers made do without adequate facilities, but can now enjoy a fully functioning gymnasium, recreation area, outdoor gathering space, and catechism classrooms.
